How to Select a Piano Teacher
Selecting someone to guide you or your loved one through the formative stages of piano lessons is one of the three most significant and impactful decisions you will make as you begin your musical journey (selecting an acceptable practice instrument and determining an "at-home" practice routine are the other two). More important than even the teacher's vicinity to your home are considerations like temperament, experience, style and compatibility. You owe it to yourself and to your family to find the absolute best teacher available - not just the closest (or cheapest) teacher online. Take the time to meet your potential piano teacher, have a conversation and determine together whether or not you and (s)he are a good fit. Get this right, and you'll have someone you can rely on to guide and motivate you for years of piano lessons to come!
